The Kansas SWANA Sunflower Chapter has established an annual Chapter Awards program to recognize outstanding solid waste projects, programs, and individuals throughout the state.
If you know of an outstanding individual in the Solid Waste Industry who has gone above and beyond to help improve our services, please nominate them for a Chapter Award. Examples of areas of outstanding service include, but are not limited to: Solid Waste Project, Solid Waste Management; Solid Waste Professional, Best Safety Innovation, and Best Safety Improvement.
To be eligible, at least one person from the organization receiving the award must be a Kansas SWANA member in good standing as of July 1, 2025. Nominations must be submitted by Friday, August 29, 2025.
The awards will be presented at the 2025 annual SWANA/KDHE Solid Waste Management Conference.
